Linotype Mateo is part of the Take Type Library, which features the winners of Linotypes International Digital Type Design Contest from 1994 to 1997. Jrgen Ellenberger included three styles in his font, roman, bold and outline.
The characters of Mateo consist exclusively of lines, giving the font an extremely angular look. However, Mateo retains a certain handwritten style somewhat reminiscent of the graffiti left on wooden grade school desks by previous classes.
The bold and outline styles have emphasized stroke contrasts but keep the angular, consciously irregular look. The roman style is best for smaller texts and the bold and outlines styles for headlines.

MASS is a super heavy stencil font. Designed to be used at large sizes for maximum impact. As part of the day job I had to trace an old hand drawn logo of a Masonic Lodge from a very poor scan. When I finally got to the end of it I had almost a whole alphabet and I really liked the hand drawn uneven quality, so I made up the rest of the letters and set about making it into a font. I roughened up all the edges for an even older look, added a host of OpenType features and hey presto, Masonic Lodge was born.
There are two versions of each letter and number which automatically alternate when contextual alternates are set, more alternates for O and o characters, a good amount of interlock style L and T ligatures (uppercase) and a square & compass ornament. More…

The objective of this font was to try and find out how far back in the designer’s life this obsession with letters began. The challenge was to draw, from memory only, two sets of caps that recall older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies lettering.
The experiment was a success, which means that the designer’s got it bad since he was, like, four!
The Marvin set includes three stylistic variations (Regular, Round and Shadow), with extensive multi-script language support covering Western, Central and Eastern European languages, as well as Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese.
A few extra alternates and interlocking ligatures are also included, all adding up to over 650 characters in each font. More…

Marujo is a highly decorative typeface inspired by painted pieces of Arthur Bispo do Rosrio, a striking Brazilian artist who lived for 50 years in a psychiatric institution.
Besides its spirited Regular and Light cuts, Marujo family brings nifty eye-catching variations adorned with dots and stripes. It also brings complementary fonts to spice things up even more: there are 2 shadow options and yet a picture font packed with doodles, mostly on nautical subjects (which are strongly present on Bispo do Rosrio, a former seaman apprentice.)
Bispo do Rosrios works employs a multitude of materials and are often very intricate. Words are everywhere, painted or embroidered at most. He produced a vast amount of works, and is now - posthumously - widely recognized in Brazilian art scene. The psychiatric institution in which he lived is now a museum dedicated exclusively to his work.
Marujo draws inspiration not only from Bispos works, but also from this mans potency, a persistent man who produced amazing art locked in such a tough environment for a life-long.
